Meals are available for $5 per child. There is a late pickup fee of $20 per hour beyond the scheduled time. An emergency drop-in rate of $30 applies for last-minute care need
We prioritize the health of all children and staff by requiring that any child exhibiting signs of illness (fever, persistent cough, rash, etc.) be kept at home until they are symptom-free for 24 hours. If a child becomes ill while at our facility, parents will be notified immediately to arrange pickup.
Our staff is trained in first aid, CPR and basic life support, and we have clear procedures to address emergencies quickly and effectively. In the case of an injury, appropriate first aid will be administered, and if necessary, emergency services will be contacted. Parents will be informed of all incidents immediately.
The home is equipped with a surveillance camera and secure entry system to ensure only authorized personnel and families can access the premises. All toys and equipment are regularly inspected for safety, and the playground meets all current safety standards.
We provide nutritious snacks that are included in the daily fee. All meals are $5 per child and prepared on-site with attention to dietary restrictions and balanced nutrition. If you prefer to provide your child's meals due to dietary preferences or restrictions, please inform us in advance.
Our staff members are required to have qualifications in early childhood education and must pass comprehensive background checks. Additionally, they receive ongoing training in child care practices, emergency response, and child development
We maintain a strict adherence to Oregon's child-to-staff ratios to ensure that every child receives attentive care. This ratio varies by age group but is always in compliance with state regulations to guarantee safety and quality of care.
Absolutely! We encourage parents to schedule a tour to meet Miss Elysia and see our home day-care firsthand. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions, understand our daily routines, and see how we interact with the children in our care.
Our approach to discipline is rooted in a deep understanding of children's developing brains and the importance of nurturing their emotional growth. We lead with compassion, aiming to foster independence and confidence in each child. When behavioral guidance is needed, we utilize age-appropriate time-outs in our "Calm Down Corner." This is a comfortable space where children can take a moment to relax and reflect, helping them learn self-regulation skills in a supportive environment. Our goal is to guide children positively, teaching them to express their feelings constructively and develop problem-solving abilities
To ensure the safety and security of all children, our policy restricts parent visits to established drop-off and pick-up times only. This is particularly important when multiple children from different families are in attendance. We understand and appreciate your desire to check in on your child, and we are committed to maintaining a safe environment for every child in our care. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Open communication with parents is a top priority for us. We provide regular updates about your child's day, including activities they enjoyed, meals, nap times, and any memorable moments. This can be through daily verbal reports at pick-up, written summaries, or electronic communications—whichever method you prefer. If any concerns or issues arise, we will promptly reach out to discuss them with you directly, ensuring we work together to support your child's well-being and development.
