Founders of the Outdoor Enrichment Program

Each day begins at our home base, where children gather at the table for breakfast, gear up, and prepare for the day’s adventure. From there, we set out on a one-mile trail that winds through the landscape and leads to a playground and picnic spot. Along the way, children engage in nature observation, imaginative play, and intentional movement that nurtures both body and mind.

While outdoor exploration is the heart of our program, our home base provides a warm and welcoming indoor space for drop-offs, pick-ups, and cozy activities during extreme weather. Indoors, children enjoy baking, storytelling, and creative play that naturally complements their outdoor learning.

At Elevated Education, we believe that children thrive when they are given the freedom to explore the natural world. Our Waldorf-inspired Outdoor Enrichment Program is thoughtfully designed to foster curiosity, resilience, and a deep connection to nature through hands-on experiences and seasonal rhythms. Our Outdoor Enrichment Program runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Gresham, Oregon. As a private microschool, we offer an intentional, zero screen-time environment that values play, presence, and nature-based learning. At Elevated Education, we believe children thrive when given the freedom to explore the natural world. 

Through this program, we aim to nurture a deep sense of wonder, independence, and environmental stewardship. Children experience the magic of childhood the way it was meant to be: simple, joyful, and deeply connected to the earth. As a microschool with a low child-to-teacher ratio, we’re able to offer personalized support, strong relationships, and a calm, homelike environment. This nurturing setting not only fosters deeper learning and trust, but also helps reduce the spread of illness, allowing children to feel safe, seen, and truly cared for.
